About Us

Gary S. Austin is a trusted trial attorney and the founder of the Law Office of Gary S. Austin, located in Riverside, CA. With more than 20 years of experience in litigation and negotiation, Mr. Austin brings a practical, solutions-oriented approach to legal challenges across family law, civil disputes, and employment law.

He is known for delivering strategic clarity to complex matters, whether representing clients in divorce, custody disputes, domestic violence restraining orders, or high-stakes business and contract cases. Mr. Austin has served as lead trial counsel in state and federal courts, earning a reputation for calm, persuasive courtroom advocacy and thorough case preparation.

Prior to founding his own practice in 2010, he spent a decade at the esteemed Law Office of Carl E. Douglas in Beverly Hills, where he litigated high-profile civil rights and wrongful death cases, including multimillion-dollar jury trials. He also served as a legal intern in the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, gaining early trial experience that continues to inform his direct and effective litigation style.

Outside the courtroom, Mr. Austin is a dedicated civic and youth advocate. He served as president of the Miracle Mile Optimist Club and as a long-standing board member of Optimist Youth and Family Home Services, supporting mentorship and stability for at-risk youth. He has also contributed as a television legal commentator, offering expert insight on national media platforms like Court TV during coverage of high-profile criminal trials.

Mr. Austin is a graduate of Loyola Law School and a certified trial attorney through the National Institute for Trial Advocacy. He currently serves on the Board of the Loyola Law School Alumni Association, where he continues to support the development of future legal professionals.
